Mmmm, the chocolate or the celery?

April 12th, 2011

I have come to the decision that weight loss is equivalent to golfing, everybody has an opinion and can help you learn the simple way to swing the club just right but few are pros!

The choice to get rid of some weight is a really personal and challenging decision. Where once there had been a 6 pack, now there is a keg. What had previously been firm is now fat.

For all the products, diets, exercise regimens, get help books, there appears little agreement regarding the sure way to lose some kilos. Well, that is if you listen to all the get assistance options, if you try each and every one of the various programs and diets.

There is no one size fits everybody weight loss is about you, it’s your lifestyle, your body type, your eating habits, exercise commitment, realistically frequently it’s about your will power. If you make a choice to lose weight I'd encourage you to face up to one query first when it comes to the force at 2:00 am in the morning and you open the fridge due to hunger do you pick the chocolate or the celery?

If you know you're more prone to pick the chocolate (insert other adequately unhealthy food grouping here) then it's likely that off your own bat you're going to struggle. These calls made at the small hours of the morning, (or perhaps it's the afternoon snack, the morning eggs'n'bacon), each contribute to the outcome of your call to tackle your weight.

Sure, I know this is all common sense but I am a 2:00 am chocolatier! It’s just one piece, well, row, well you get the drift.

If you get it that weight control isn't just a physical factor, it is a full range of emotional, environmental and behavioural influences all piled into each and every call then expecting to lose pounds by eating celery of an evening won't cut it! Don’t starve yourself, don't expect pills to fix it, liposuction!

No, get a mate find a pal, speak it out and ask for help. If that doesn't sound like you well do it secretly, join a group, go online whatever it is, just make yourself responsible to someone. For changing your habits is hard, whether that's giving up smoking or trying to change eating and exercise patterns.

Give yourself a break, positively get pro help, subscribe to a weightloss procedure, change your diet and order in pre cooked low calorie meals whatever it is that helps you reach it. But try to not give up giving up and don't despair if one day in twenty you stuff up, you had nineteen good ones.

What Is The Most Effective Diet For Obesity?

July 16th, 2010

It is now well recognized that overweight and obesity problem has emerged as a major health hazard the world over. This condition has been associated with life threatening diseases such as cardiac problems, diabetes, cholesterol and high blood pressure. Considering that the problem is worldwide, the main cause is the combination of the modern urban lifestyle along with low physical activity. Obesity and overweight conditions are found in the richer countries amongst both the affluent as well as the poorer sections. The condition is also seen amongst the affluent in the poorer countries. The lifestyle and associated with it the kind of food practices that has come to be popularized in the urban setting along with the sedentary life and work, are the main cause of this threatening condition.

There has been a major change in the food that is available and consumed as part of the urban life style. Processed food is fast replacing fresh food. The processed food is cheaper, easily available and easy to prepare. They suit the hectic urban life. The low-cost food, often called junk food, is low in nutritional value. They have a high sugar and fat content besides additives. The poorer section in the richer nations has to resort to eating this low-cost food. Therefore, obesity in the richer nations is an indicator of wealth with good nutrition and less physical activity as well as poverty with bad nutrition. In the case of poorer countries obesity is associated with wealth with good nutrition and less physical activity. Obesity can also be due to eating disorder.

Increasing number of obese population has also led to the expanding market for weight loss program. The market is abuzz with newer and newer products and programs guaranteeing effective weight loss. But all this can be quite confusing to someone on the look out for effective weight loss program. It will help if you are able to assess the cause of your problem, may be from a specialist, and about the weight loss products and programs. The World Wide Web is indeed a major source for information. There are many books that give you information both on the weight loss programs as well as on the problems of obesity as Lose Your Belly Fat, GI Diet and HCG Diet Guide.

But in the long term it is necessary to make changes to the lifestyle. People are becoming more health conscious. Already the market for organically cultivated food is increasing. The ill effects of fast food are well known. Consumer tastes are swinging towards more nutritious food.

Eating can be an advantage and a disadvantage all at the same time. However, too much is bad enough as it will only increase weight and illnesses.

How To Lose 60 Pounds! Healthy System

April 21st, 2010

If you’re thinking about finding some “quick magic ” tablet to lose the weight i suggest you don’t do it. First I am going to tell you why NOT and instead I will give you a healthy methodology on how to lose 60 Pounds!

Stay away from “starving diets”! I say this for couple of reasons, first off if you’re going to go fasting, and starving your self you are going to do 3 things. Yes, you’ll shed some weight, you may slow down your metabolic rate, and you’ll deprive your body of healthy nutrition you need to live. We’ll take each one of those and break them in pieces!

You will lose a little weight. This is right the weight you do lose you’ll gain back and probably few extra pounds! The reason behind this is when you starve yourself, you are slowing metabolism, so when you return to eating constantly you may gain the weight back and few extra pounds. And of course, when your body is not getting enough nutrition, you are going to do some major damage to your body!

So what are you able to do?

Straight off to lose the 60 pounds, you have got to change the food you eat. NO you do not have to eat the food you hate, you simply need to begin making some sensible changes! Write down everything you eat every day. Take one day, and put it all on paper. Every time you pop something in your mouth, you write it down. Carry a notebook. I bet you will be stunned at how often you put the junk in your mouth.

Next day, take the notebook out. Scratch off all the junk food you ate, and replace that with fruit you like. You will eat instead one apple, or grapefruit.

All of the drinks you do drink, you replace only with water and it can be some juice, but ONLY if it is fresh squeezed.

Does Lap Band Surgery Help Prevent Against Diabetes?

March 24th, 2010

The obesity rates across the country have risen so high that it is now consider an epidemic. The staggering increase in obesity rates has resulted in a high number of serious health conditions. One such disease associated with obesity is Type 2 Diabetes. If not properly managed, Type 2 Diabetes can lead to a number of serious conditions such as kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, blindness, and amputation. Because a major cause of this type of diabetes is obesity, finding an effective weight loss method has become essential to reducing the risk of diabetes, alleviating this disease thereby making it more manageable, and even eliminating the disease altogether. One such method of dropping the excess weight to prevent diabetes is undergoing Lap Band Surgery.

Recent medical research has revealed that Lap Band Surgery is an effective treatment to improve or even eliminate the cause of Type 2 Diabetes in obese people. Lap Band Surgery (Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding Surgery,) involves placing an inflatable tube around the stomach to reduce the amount of food intake. The tube is filled with saline to reduce the size of the stomach. The size of the stomach is adjusted by adding and withdrawing the saline. The reduced food intake results in a drastic amount of weight loss.

Patients who have had this safe and minimally invasive surgery have seen a drastic reduction in the risk of getting Type 2 Diabetes, have alleviated the symptoms of the disease, and have even resolved the disease. As well, not only do patients achieve a drastic drop in weight, but the health improvements have been seen in patients of all ages. For instance, a significant drop in weight coincides with a decrease in insulin levels and blood glucose levels.

For those who suffer from obesity where their health is at risk, traditional diet programs have not been very helpful at helping them achieve healthy weight loss. In fact, the diet industry in general, is a multi billion dollar a year business that has very little proven results. Due to improvements in weight loss surgery such as the development of Lap Band Surgery, obese people now have an effective method to not only lose weight, but the result will improve and resolve such health conditions as Type 2 Diabetes. Those who are obese and have a BMI of 40+ are normally the most viable candidates for this weight loss procedure. To be considered a potential candidate for the surgery, you will undergo a medical screening process to ensure it will be safe for you to undergo the procedure.

Because unmanaged diabetes can lead to very serious and even fatal health conditions, Lap Band Surgery is a helpful solution to cure morbid obesity and prevent diabetes. If you are obese and are concerned your obesity will lead to serious health conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, you may want to consider Lap Band Surgery. It is important to discuss this surgery with your physician to learn the risks and benefits of having this weight loss procedure.

Weight Loss Supplements - New Drugs Expected On The Market This Year

March 22nd, 2010

People in America spent approximately $59 billion last year on trying to lose weight. What exactly was all of that money spent on? Here is a short list: ’special’ diet foods, appetite suppressants, gym memberships, diet books, exercise DVDs, and surgery. Unfortunately, despite all of that spending, most people failed to lose the weight that they wanted to. The reason? Because they mainly spent their money on weight loss products that don’t work.

Less than 1% of all those billions that were spent on weight loss products was spent on prescription drugs. However, a great new weight loss product did emerge in Feb 2009 called phentemine375. Its main ingredient is in the original phentermine family, but they have added some interesting hormones that are deal with obesity issues. You can learn more about it at www.phen375.com and find out about the exact ingredients - quite impressive.

You may remember a product which also used phentermine called fen-phen which was removed from the market several years ago. It’s a different form of it being used now though, which has passed the necessary tests. Several products are now making use of it, such as Adiphene, though it’s not scheduled to be released until the end of this year.

Since the fen-phen fiasco of the 90s, the pharmaceutical industry has not made meaningful progress in combating obesity, one of the nations biggest and costliest health problems. No weight loss drugs or pills have had a chance to be widely successful because the FDA has made it virtually impossible to get a new product to market. Most products currently in the pipe line will be blocked for one reason or another, even though they could really help people.

At least Phen375 is already out and making an impact. It’s been given the approval it needs so there is no harm in trying it out. As there is nothing else of note planned for release for the next few months then alternatives are hard to come by. It may be just what you need to supplement your diet and exercise program, which, as you know, are not always enough on themselves.
